Provide Instructional Materials

"We are so grateful for PiSL for all the wonderful materials you have provided our preschool class.  I can see how much our preschool teacher loves using them with her students. "
-Principal of Jalpa School Thulachhap, Okhaldhunga
Over the past nine years, we provided a variety of developmentally-appropriate learning materials to 47 classrooms in rural Nepal. These materials are directly related to the philosophy of the PiSL Early Childhood Curriculum - teaching to the Whole Child, including the Mind, Heart and  Body. The materials give teachers a way to engage their students in activities that are not only appropriate for their age, but they build the foundations for later learning.

All materials are presented to the teacher in a workshop setting so they understand how to use the materials in an educational way. Some activities may not seem like the students are learning, but the activity may be a way to encouraging appropriate social interactions or to build eye-hand coordination.
