WHY EARLY EDUCATION

Early Education is crucial in developing countries because it:
  • Builds learning foundations children need for success in school
  • Enhances the cognitive growth and strengthens social, emotional and behavioral development of children
  • Allows older children to regularly attend school because they do not have to care for their younger siblings
  • Increases the likelihood that girls will complete school
  • Provides caregivers the opportunity to work or pursue an education without being encumbered with young children
  • Provides young women an opportunity to contribute to their family income by beoming teachers in their villages
  • Raises parents’ awareness of how early education can make a difference for the future of their child
