REBUILD A CLASSROOM

$100 will help us buy the wood for a door and windows
Your donation will provide the wood needed to make a secure door and framing. Wood is also provided to make the framing for the windows and strong shutters. Hardware for the door and window shutters will also be purchased with your donation.

$250 will help us provide tin roofing
Your donation will help us provide tin roofing for either an existing classroom that needs a new roof or for a brand new building. We also provide one clear corrugated panel to be placed in the roof to provide more light.  All roofing is transported by truck to a central location.  The roofing is carried to the school site by community members.

$1,000 will help us repair existing classrooms
This donation will provide the construction materials to cement the floor and plaster the walls of a classroom or reconstruct the wooden doors and shutters. The earthquake damaged a number of classrooms. This spring a huge windstorm ripped the roof from a classroom (see photo).  Whitewash paint will brighten the walls. The community members in each village will work collaboratively to make these repairs.

$10,000 will help us build a new earthquake resistant classroom
Your donation of $10,000 will help us to build an earthquake resistant classroom. We plan to build five new classrooms in rural villages. We have worked with a Nepali architect to develop a plan that uses local materials as much as possible.  We will keep costs lower by enlisting the help of the community members in construction. Help us get these classrooms built!

$12,000 will help us create a complete Early Childhood Center (ECC)
You can leave a legacy by donating a generous gift to provide the funds to create a NEW Early Childhood Center in a village in Nepal. You would fund the construction of an earthquake-resistant building, provide classroom furniture, rugs, mural and all instructional materials.  Your gift would pay for the teacher and a substitute to attend PiSL training. Name the Center after your family or a special person in your life. This donation will truly be a gift of love.

Celebrate a Special Occasion
A donation to PiSL can honor a special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, new baby or marriage.  We will send you a unique handmade Nepalese card for you to personalize and give to your honoree.  If you would prefer, we will send a card directly to your honoree. An e-card can also be sent for a last-minute gift. Please contact us for more information.
